Where is your office located?
My office is located in South Charlotte, North Carolina. [Full address to be added.]
The space is private, calm, and designed to feel welcoming — nothing like a waiting room.
How do I get started?
The easiest way to get started is to book a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a relaxed, no-commitment conversation where we can connect, you can ask questions, and we can figure out together whether working together makes sense.
You can book directly through the button below or reach out through my Psychology Today profile if you’d prefer.
What if I've never been to therapy before?
Then you’re in good company. Many of my clients come to me without any prior therapy experience. There’s nothing you need to know or prepare. I’ll guide you through everything.
The first session is simply about getting to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. We move at your pace, always.
Do you work with couples or teenagers?
I specialize in individual therapy for adults. I don’t currently offer couples therapy or work with teenagers.
If you’re looking for a couples therapist or a therapist for your teen, I’m happy to point you toward some trusted referrals during a consultation.
What is EMDR? What is somatic therapy?
Great questions. These are approaches I use regularly, and they’re worth understanding before we begin.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps the brain process difficult memories that feel stuck. It doesn’t require you to talk through every detail of what happened and many clients find it reaches things that talk therapy alone couldn’t.
Somatic therapy is an approach that works with the body as well as the mind. It recognizes that stress, trauma, and emotion don’t just live in our thoughts, they live in our bodies too. Somatic work helps us tune into those physical signals as part of the healing process.
You can read more about both on my Services pages.
How long does therapy take?
There’s no single answer to this. It depends on what you’re working on, how you respond to the process, and what your goals are.
Some clients come with a specific focus and feel ready to wrap up after a few months. Others find that as one layer resolves, they want to go deeper and therapy becomes an ongoing part of how they take care of themselves.
What I can promise is that the pace is always yours. We’ll check in on your goals regularly, and you’ll always have a say in when our work together comes to a close.
What are your fees, and do you accept insurance?
My session fee is $175. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly but many plans offer out-of-network reimbursement, and I provide superbills to support that process.
You can find full details on my Fees & Insurance page.
What if I start and decide therapy isn't right for me, or that we're not a good fit?
Please tell me. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in whether therapy works and I’d much rather you find the right fit than stay out of obligation.
If at any point things don’t feel right, we can talk about it openly. I’ll never take it personally, and I’ll do my best to help you find someone who’s a better match if needed.
